The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) Junior Engineer (JE) exam is conducted to recruit candidates for various engineering posts in the government sector. After clearing the SSC JE Prelims exam, candidates have to fill the post preference form to indicate their preference for the engineering branch and the department where they want to work.

PROCESS
Here’s how you can fill the post preference form in SSC JE 2022:
Step 1: Visit the official SSC website (ssc.nic.in) and click on the “SSC JE 2022” link.
Step 2 : click on option cum Preference form
Step 3: Enter your roll number and details, year and branch.
Step 4: Select the departments and organizations where you want to work. The departments available for SSC JE recruitment are:
- Central Water power research station
- Central Public Works Department
- Military Engineering Services
- Department of Posts
- Border Roads Organisation
- National technical research organisation.
Step 5: After selecting the departments, you need to select your post preference. The available posts are:
- Junior Engineer (Civil)
- Junior Engineer (Mechanical)
- Junior Engineer (Electrical)
- Junior Engineer (Quantity Surveying and Contract)
Step 6: Once you have selected your post preference, click on the submit button to complete the process.
Step 7: Click on save, take printout
