SSC JE RECRUITMENT 2 YEARS EXPERIENCE REMOVED

Good news for aspirants preparing for SSC Junior Engineer (JE) exams! As per the latest notification regarding the revised recruitment rules of Junior Engineer (Civil, Electrical & Mechanical) under the Border Roads Organisation (BRO), Group ‘B’ posts, the requirement of 2 years’ work experience for diploma candidates has now been removed.Earlier, diploma holders were required to show 2 years of work experience along with their educational qualification. But now, as per the amended rules, candidates with just a Diploma in Engineering are eligible to apply directly without any additional experience requirement.

🔑 Key Highlights from the Amendment (Sep 2025)

Educational Qualification Update

  • Essential qualification is now “Diploma in Engineering” only.
  • The clause of 2 years’ work experience has been removed.

Quota Changes in Recruitment

  • LDCE (Limited Departmental Competitive Exam) quota reduced from 10% to 5%.
  • DCRE (Departmental Competitive Recruitment Exam) quota reduced from 15% to 5%.
  • Direct Recruitment (DR) quota increased from 75% to 90%.
  • If LDCE & DCRE quota remains unfilled, the vacancies will be filled through Direct Recruitment.

Eligibility in DCRE

  • From now onwards, JCOs (Junior Commissioned Officers) will be included instead of Naib Sub.
